Hi, Im Kanishka. Im a bit confused about god. Are gods such as Shiva, Gana, Katharagama a part of buddhism? Is worshipping them against buddhism?
I am not quite sure whether someone has already replied you. However, the named gods are not part of Buddhism. Worshiping them are therefore not Buddhism. Blessed one’s (Lord Buddha’s) teaching is about virtue, concentration and wisdom only.
